Full, but not
nourished.

We eat enough, we're just not eating right.

Three meals a day was never the problem, it's what happened to those meals along the way.

The name

amhaara

Hamara / हमारा

Ours. Food that belongs back in our own hands, made the way it used to be.

Amhara

The Ethiopian highlands have cultivated a rich agricultural heritage centered around resilient, nutrient-dense ancient grains for millennia.

Aahar / आहार

Food and nourishment itself. What sustains us.

The amhaara logo: two hands holding a seedling

Two hands, one seedling.

Good food was never written down. It was handed down, from a mother's hands to her child's, and on to the next. amhaara carries that moment forward. The best practices of the past, handed on with their roots intact, so the next generation inherits food that still nourishes.

From Soil to Kitchen

Founder’s story.

Kuldeep Sengar, founder of amhaara

I was born into a farming family. But my father eventually moved away from the land in search of something more stable—a job, a regular salary, and life in the city. I grew up somewhere in between: rooted in a village, raised in an urban world, and never feeling entirely at home.

Work eventually brought me back to the fields.

Our philosophy

We don’t believe in adding more.
We believe in restoring meaning.

Some things don’t need reinventing - they simply need bringing back.

Rooted

Real food begins with resilient ingredients and the wisdom of everyday kitchens.

Transparent

We make the journey from farm to kitchen easier to understand.

Everyday

No pills or complicated routines - just better care for the food already on our table.

Quality

Quality begins before an ingredient enters a pack.

It’s built through considered sourcing, minimal processing, careful sampling, batch-tested verification and a documented release — nothing added, nothing hidden. Purity isn’t a claim. It’s a process.

From source to release

  1. Source

Every batch begins at a named farm or FPO, not an anonymous mandi - so we know exactly where it came from before we decide what to do with it.

  2. Sample

Before a single batch moves forward, a sample is drawn and set aside - checked on its own record, not assumed safe because the last one was.

  3. Test

Each sample is tested against India’s food safety standards, not just our own comfort level - the same standard, every batch, no exceptions made for a good raw material.

  4. Verify

A result isn’t a rubber stamp. Every test is cross-checked and recorded before anything is cleared to move ahead.

  5. Release

Source, sample, test, verify - documented, so what reaches your kitchen isn’t just trusted. It’s fed with confidence.

Nothing added. Nothing hidden. Purity is a process.

A return to what matters

Real food. Real nourishment. Real roots.

We don’t want to change what you eat.
We want to help you reconnect with it.
